Company on Canada Day

A really unusual Canada Day, only virtual celebrations. It's the first time we've had company on Canada Day for years! Kalyn and Marky got here just before noon and the first thing they wanted after 3 nights of camping was a shower! Then lunch. :-)
They really enjoyed camping at Ruckle Park. The only problem was allergies for both of them, a bit worse for Kalyn, and her eyes are really bugging her, but that wouldn't stop them from camping there again. Ideal - camp for a few days then come to Nanzy and Gramps' place to clean up and have some more time on Salt Spring! They usually don't have a chance to be away for more than a weekend during the summers, so for G and me, about the only positive result from Covid summer.
We went for a walk in the forest, had supper, played games, then watched a couple of shows, including a Seinfeld episode of course. Unbelievable that we didn't have a single game of crib! Tomorrow, no doubt. Absolutely wonderful to have them with us.
