day at the zoo

Today's highlight was a 3 and a half hour visit to our zoo! My good friend, who is a docent there, gave us a private tour. The boys were so enchanted that they could have stayed all day. Sadly, I was the one who got hungry and tired, and said it was time to go home.
The main picture is of the four grandsons in the new penguin exhibit. Since only 8 guests are allowed in at once, our party of 6 got the place to ourselves. And so we could take off our masks. In the extras, is a photo of the boys wearing their giraffe masks (also made by our docent friend) at the memorial statue of a baby giraffe who was born last summer but did not survive.
