WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Washday

Backblip.
We pass these streets when we walk along the towpath towards Skipton.
Between the two rows of houses is a wide green area and there are always lots of children out playing and it's lovely to see as they are from different racial backgrounds - mainly Asian and English. I love the way that kids accept differences as part of life, (unless they've been taught otherwise :-/ ) just as some kids can be tall or small, have red hair, black hair, blonde hair, black skin, brown skin or pink skin. It's heartening to see them all running about together.
Bella always gets excited and wants to jump down the wall to join them but of course we can't allow that!
We always wave to the kids and the adults and pass the time of day.

Today I have been pottering before lunch - same as yesterday and then painting. The picture is nearly there but I have to leave it to dry overnight before I can add the finishing touches.
I'm reasonably happy with it but there is definitely room for improvement!

Bed and booktime now.
Goodnight :-) X
