Milkweed Bug

My husband was looking for some place different to run and mentioned Black Hill Regional Park which is one of my favorite places so I was all in.  It turned out it was a bit too hilly for his liking, but for me, it was great.  The meadow was just starting to come into bloom and I was delighted to wander around looking for tiny critters. 

There was a mass of these yellow wildflowers (false sunflowers) that were a big hit with the bees,  a few butterflies and plenty of Milkweed Bugs.
