A little bit of fun

Each year, our year five children are able to go on a week’s activity week to Sark. Sadly, this year is has had to be cancelled, despite our Bailiwick Bubble.
So by way of trying to make up for everything they have missed, we took them bodyboarding at Vazon today. They had a ball, despite the inclement weather. I took 210 photos and a good time was had by all. Apart from, that is, the poor boy who was stung by a weaver fish! :-(. At first I thought he had trodden on a sharp stone. Sadly not. We got him swiftly back to school and soaked his foot in hot water to bring out the venom. He was very brave, given that it’s incredibly painful by all accounts.
