indian prince

Sarah gave me two packets of seeds, in plain brown paper envelopes printed with a woman's head ( see photos on this lovely blog). They were Nigella "Persian jewels" and Calendula "Indian Prince", names which conjured up a colourful summer. The Nigella haven't flowered yet, but today the first marigold bloom opened up to a gentle rain.

I've been drooling over the Higgledy Garden shop and think I shall buy some more seeds. The Foxgloves ("Excelsior") look perfect for future loveliness. I think the Higgledy Garden is in Cornwall, run by Ben and his dog. A nice job to have; I hope his business is surviving this difficult time.
