Before Blooming

I'll post an After Blooming photo as soon as they are ready. Several years ago when I planted a couple of ginger roots from the grocery store, I should have read about growing habits.  The photo above is the crop now, plus the extra shows how they spread to a nearby bed.  The flowers are lovely, but now it looks like I am growing a field of corn in a flower bed.  The plants behind the ginger in the extra are called Mexican petunias, and they too, grow from a very limited number of plants.  I have so many of those, I've tried to get rid of some of them.
