The cobra strikes
No rain today! I thought I'd better weed the still empty bed down at the roadside - not a very good example of a gardener's garden! Did a lot of hand weeding, hoed it over so it will be easier to hoe again when (if) the hot weather returns, chatted to several passers-by and found that the pesky deer had had a bit of a chew of my lovely new birch. It's grown quite big now - the tree not the deer - so the damage hopefully shouldn't be too much of a problem.
What to Blip today. No more smoke alarms - the guilty party is lying at the bottom of my mini-pond - so it's back to plants. This is an Arisaema, or Cobra Lily, though to my shame I'm forgotten which it is and the label simply reads 'Arisaema'! Shocking! Maybe a kind Blipper will be familiar with it and tell me.
Quote of the Day:
Sunday Adelaja, ‘The Mountain of Ignorance’ - “If the weeds are removed and there is nothing planted, it is the weeds that will keep growing.”
