St Michael

Yesterday I referred to an M&S recipe book I bought a couple of weeks ago. I remembered that I used to buy their books  - a long, long time ago and still have them. ValC thought along the same lines. It would be interesting to see how many others remember these. 

They were published in the 70s and 80s. The four on the right are dated 1977 and 1978, the other three were a bit later 1982 - 1985.They can't have cost very much as this was at a time when we had a young family and very little money. We hardly ever went out to restaurants, but we did used to make meals for friends. It was what we all did. These books were an inspiration. So many of the recipes I can remember making, a few we still use.
