What is it?

Baby rat or mouse? I chased it again out of my strawberry bed. It hid under a piece of lumber and when I picked up that piece, there she sat, made herself look small, nice little ears and looked at me with her little black shiny eyes. So I put the piece of wood back and went inside to fetch the camera. Picked up the wood again but now she ran and I only got her tail end..., literally :-)
I would share my berries with a little mouse, I also share my orchard with a pretty big garter snake, which has grown to something that is a yard long, but if it were a rat I would probably call for a terminator.

Sorry for the miserable photograph. It was my only one today. I spent a good part of the evening trying to find out what it is. It is about 10 cm long without the tail, only 5 cm when it sits still.
