I inherited my mum's love of reading, and all things wordy - she used to love her crosswords and anagrams.

Pre-Lottie (way before actually) I used to really enjoy doing the general knowledge crosswords out of the Sunday papers. I would spend hours poring through encyclopaedias and reference books - remember those?? It's ages since I really looked at one, there is always too much to do at weekends and by the time we get Lottie settled at night my brain is way too tired!

I picked it up tonight and had a quick look through the clues, got some of them. But the joy of the encyclopaedia seems to have been replaced by google, and it somehow doesn't seem such a challenge or an achievement!

Progress is good - but not always!
