The Buck Stopped Here

Ollie dog picked up the scent of this buck as soon as we started walking around our neighbour's lake this morning. I always put her on the lead out of politeness as, even though we have permission to be there, it's not our property . She was sniffing, snuffling and snorting and pulling like mad. I spotted the muntjac as we turned the corner and started walking along the southerly bank. Ollie had her nose so close to the ground that I don't think she spotted the deer in the distance. He's in wonderful condition.
