Mewn Bwdhaeth mae'r lotws yn symbol o oleuedigaeth. Mae'n tyfu allan o fwd y pwll - neu fwd y byd - ac yn agor pur a difrycheulyd. Yn ein pwll mae'r lili ddŵr yn eistedd uwch y malurion o'r ywen hefyd - er gwaetha ymdrechion gorau'r goeden i orchuddio popeth.

In Buddhism the lotus is a symbol of enlightenment. It grows out of the mud of the pool - or the mud of the world - and opens up pure and immaculate. In our pond the water lily sits above the yew debris too - despite the tree's best efforts to cover everything.
