What's in a name?

This small snack-bar in Glasgow city-centre is called 'Eat'. You can imagine the thinking - where are going for lunch? Let's go to Eat. Yes, but where will we go?

I am split between thinking it's a quirkily nice name, memorable for sure, or whether it's just plain daft. There used to be a pub in Glasgow called 'Doctors' - where were you all afternoon? Oh, I've been to the doctor's. You can see what they did there.

I've always been intrigued by the names of companies - from the founders, Adidas from Adi Dassler and Amstrad from Alam Michael Sugar Trading to B&Q from founders Bourke and Quayle in Southampton in the late 1960s. Nylon even, Denim. I'm not sure 'Eat' is up there with the best.
