Birthday boy

I baked the cake yesterday and then made buttermilk scones this morning. We had a nice walk before he opened his presents, which he seemed pleased with. Our daughter and her boyfriend came round for cream teas and cake in the garden and as the forecast said it could rain I set it up on the decking with the awning fully out. It managed to stay dry for about ten minutes after they arrived and then poured down on and off until they left, but everyone enjoyed it. It was nice to see our daughter looking so happy. Hetty was running around the garden, even when it was raining. I cleared away and when I looked through the pup was sound asleep and the hubby looked like he might not be far behind.
