Newby Hall

I did think that we were mad setting off to Newby Hall complete with picnic today, but we were so lucky and had hardly any rain at all.  We had prebooked our 11 am arrival slot and met up with Daughter, Son in Law and his parents and nearly had the gardens to ourselves.  It started to rain on our way home after 4pm and hasn’t stopped since!  
There were some unusual plants we spotted in the herbaceous border which just happened to be for sale in the plant shop!  And there was a 3 for the price of 2 offer!
