Step up

The family Sunday quiz night has become such a vital part of our calendar that it will be sad for it to end, but it has served us very well during these difficult times. Having a quiz focus has kept the young ones on board; it is interesting that, as soon as they sense everything is turning into chat, they each find they have something much more important to do - as they would.

But they really get into the quiz element. Ella, our eight year old, was chief scorer, a role she takes very seriously. Her team was running a version of Pictionary, where one member of the team is given a word or phrase and draws for their partner to guess. We turned out to be not that good for some reason and in this screen shot Ella is giving us a pep talk - "you really have to step up to it you two", much to the amusement of everyone. Here she is with her two sisters and their mother. Our daughter and the middle granddaughter make a good team and call themselves 'The Blondies'. 

We still came last, but what a lovely session it was.
