Valley of the nymphs

A nice day of local "touristing" within a 30 miles radius of the house with an old medieval castle, a cistercian abbey, a hilltop village, many lavender fields, including the classic sight of the field in front of the Grignan Mme de Sévigné castle and  this romanesque chapel in the "valley of the nymphs" with its mysterious spring.

We ended the day with a very pleasant swim in the village outdoor pool which opened yesterday for the summer and a barbecue.

To top a great Sunday, we have just learnt that the Green list won the mayoral election which will surely make a great village even better.

Life is definitely good at the moment!
