A very wet and extremely windy day today.  Did manage to more or less get a dry walk this morning.  Walked along a section of Hadrian's Wall footpath which has high hedges on both sides so quite protected from the wind.  Lots of wildflowers in the hedges including this lovely Spear Thistle (think that's what it is)  If I'd taken my zoom camera I'd probably have blipped one of the numerous Egrits in the harbour.... saw 12 of them!
