Waxeye Couple

Waxeyes mate for life, but it is not an equal partnership. The female grooms her mate, but he doesn’t necessarily reciprocate. The male dozes, as in this shot, while she keeps watch. His left foot is on her right foot. Is this to keep her at his side? Though sometimes these two feet are tucked up because they really only need two legs between them.
