Banded Demoiselle Male Damselfly

A large number of male damselflies enjoying the hot sunshine today.

I always think that their jewel like bodies are somewhat spoilt by the clumsy patch of brown where God stuck their wings on.

Storms are predicted again tonight. 
Yesterday's did not materialise so I spent a long while watering the garden this morning.
Although still hot and sunny, the humidity has dropped today making it a bit more bearable.

 I posted a copy on my FB page along with a video clip taken at the same location and Ive been inundated by requests from friends wanting me to take them along next time I go.
Well, I don't hold a PCV license so I will be making many more trips. 
Hopefully I will soon be able to share images of this year's kits as they will emerge from the lodge in the coming weeks.
