Sunday...er...Saturday...or er....

I've thought it was Sunday all day today, even though the postman came this morning, even though Frank has told me it's Saturday, even though I went to set 'The Luminaries' to record tonight and saw it was on tomorrow - SUNDAY!

I have been playing about with the fabric squares this afternoon, matching them up, changing them around...ordering more fat quarters! 8-o (well they were reduced!)
These squares are by no means in their final place. I want to make the girls's ones both pretty and quirky, a mix of traditional and modern.
I'm looking forward to making the grandsons quilts as they will be all superheroes, planets, comic strip, dinasaurs, robots...oh the possibilities! It will however take me ages and ages!

We've certainly had some weather this weekend! Thunder, lightning, torrential rain. Luckily we just missed them on our early morning walk with Bella May. In a way I would like to have been on the boat during the storms but having a soggy doggy on board is no fun for her or for us.
The thunder is still rumbling as I write this.

Frank managed to cement the other step this morning on the fruit bush patch inbetween showers and covered it up with a plastic sheet.
