Riverside flowers...

were beautiful in the hot sun this morning. The Melancholy Thistles and Foxgloves were impressive. Mergansers, Sandpipers and Grey Wagtails were much in evidence, as was the Mallard who still has eight of her ten ducklings. There were plenty of butterflies too, and the first Ringlet is recorded in the extra.
