Pro paddling

Today was one of those days when it paid to take heed of the weather forecast. Woke to heavy rain but chose to still meet Becci at the river at 10am in the hope that by then it would have brightened up. Thankfully, it had.

Becci’s inflatable boat is made specifically for ‘boat packing’ and can be rolled up to a neat 2kg which fits snuggly between her handlebars. Once inflated, the bike can be put on top of the boat ready for adventuring. The pump is tiny and weighs nothing at all and can be charged with a USB. All very cool.

We meandered up the Severn from Frankwell to the Water Tower at Oxen and then back to the Quarry for a takeaway coffee. Totally delightful.

Grace finished her teaching for the term tonight so we had a Turkish Takeaway, a couple of episodes of Dawson’s Creek and a spontaneous meet-up with a few neighbours on the close.
