Diary of an Edinburgher

Treats all day

Look who we met up with this morning! Jordan, Archie’s erstwhile walker, and wee Isobel, whom we haven’t seen for ages. Archie was pleased to see Jordan! We caught up with all their lockdown news, and arranged to meet in our back garden soon - Isobel is fast on her feet, and often shot off quite far, so the garden would be much more relaxing.

From there we walked down to a newly opened (this week) Electric Bike shop, via Prêt for a coffee. We had a good chat with a chap in there, but they didn’t have the e-bike we’ve set our hearts on.

I then went to catch a bus home, because I could, but the others walked and found a new path to the canal.

We were home just in time for Archie to catch his breath, when Elizabeth arrived for another bonus walk. Archie was surprised and delighted. The weather app promised rain in the afternoon, and yes it did happen and they got wet.

We took a wee drive to a different car yard - Jus’ Lookin’.

Our neighbour has been doing up his flat for a couple of years now, and today it is finished, so we went in for a look. And gosh, he’s done a wonderful job. He’s having a change and going to live in the mountains of Switzerland. He can work online - such a life advantage. He says he’s ‘not a city person’, but he’s lived in Edinburgh for 30 years...

We had a warm apple pie delivered from the other neighbours. What a nice day we’ve had!

I had too many photos to choose from, so added an extra.
