Competitive korvapuusti baking
We have invited ArcLight and Mr A to stay for a week or two, once they are allowed. And Mr A had been showing off his korvapuusti baking (see last extra here). So W (once he had purchased the essential cardamon (not found in the local supermarket last week) and "pearl sugar") had to have a go.
W interrupted a flute practice session to bring me afternoon tea (well, coffee actually) with the freshly baked specimens. Our considered opinion was that the recipe he chose was a bit heavy on the cardamon, and more experimentation is necessary. That won't be a hardship.
After a short shower of rain this morning, we've had another hot day. I see lots of people are mentioning thunderstorms in their blips - that would be nice! I had to go out this afternoon to get longer vent ducting for the air conditioner, but that's now attached and our new purchase is currently cooling the bedroom, whilst W concocts something with rice, asparagus and other veggies as a light dinner (having filled up with korvapuusti!)
