More cake

After a fabulous birthday dinner and being thoroughly spoiled at my daughters last night l came home from Skipton this morning.
Cut the grass and did some overdue deadheading.
Then another little celebration for my birthday.
I  was supposed to be having a walk with two friends then a third friend (who is recovering from a broken bone in her foot )was joining us afterwards.
The rain put a stop that so we all came back to mine to sit under the veranda.
Had a  really lovely time, tears and laughter in equal measures. Di made this magnificent cake, we had wine and champagne and then their husbands came to take them home.
Friends and family have been brilliant, l am very fortunate.
Heavens have opened now and their is a terrific storm going on outside.
Garden and myself are loving it.
