Signage could be better
After the third attempt I managed to work how to access the Balgray Reservoir. The main car park and access road is closed due to engineering work on what looks like the reservoir's drainage system. The sign telling you to park in St Luke's is at best obscure and by chance I noticed a small track about 300m from the school that takes you directly onto the main footpath.Other than 3 wild simmers which you can just see in the blip it was quiet, perhaps not surprisingly since it was a very damp morning, but 'claggy', so much so that there were midges about.
I walked a couple of miles and intend to come back and do the whole there and back again walk to Darnley when I have a packed lunch and some boots.
And another afternoon of lassitude, at least I stayed awake.
