Granton Swim Centre

Summer, and a roaster - all the way to Hopetoun Garden Centre the car registered the outside temperature as 25ºC; a thing so unknown in this area that I feared it must have malfunctioned. No! It briefly went to 24.5ºC. So, the garden centre, delightful as ever (sans tea and scone, mind), and we picked up a flowering cherry and a cotoneaster as well as sundry fancy dockens.
Back to find the drains out back full to the brim - and the rodding holes similarly affected. A quicks WhatsApp round the neighbours finds that many have been wondering why their waste was draining slowly. The SK is onto it - Scottish Water are summoned!
So, it still being roasting we did what you do - went for a swim in Wardie Bay. If ever I need a reduction in temperature in the future, I shall remember just how cold that water is.
And then of course, we had to shower, filling the drains once more.  But the cozzies can go unwashed awhile.
And later, the boys on WhatsApp… and some chat of a cycle trip to the Netherlands. But without MrT so we have a vacancy. Just leave your name here and I’ll get back to you.
