Seeing Double
I noticed some buds on the grizzly prickly pear a few days ago so was watching for some of the small red flowers to appear. One showed up this morning but it wasn’t going to make a great blip because some of the petals were smushed against other buds. Just for the heck of it, I checked to see what interesting theme Ingeborg posted for abstract Thursday. It was double exposure so I gave it a whirl. It took me the entire afternoon to process, though. I should have asked for advice today during the camera club Photoshop Zoom class. I sort of knew what I was going for but didn't know how to get there.
I was kind of stunned when I showed up at the dentist today. I must have told them on Tuesday that I had a false positive Covid-19 test in April. When I arrived, I was met at the door and not allowed in. I was told I needed two negative anti-body tests (at least 48 hours apart) before I could be treated. I didn't know what to do because I was left outside a locked door in quite a bit of pain. I scrambled to reach some of my doctors. My nephrologist (kidney doctor) gave me a limited dose of oral antibiotics. My primary care doctor set up a time for me to come in for the test (cost me $70). She told me that one test would have to do because there was a shortage of almost everything and she couldn't justify wasting another one on me.
It was really hot and dry today. The high was 106°/41° and the afternoon humidity was 4%. Yes, you read that correctly! It was probably a good thing that I got the photo in my yard before it began to wilt and stayed in until after sunset trying to process it! :-)
