Tight fit.....

More dahlias off to a new home this evening. They survived the short trip in the MG without any stem damage!

The gazebo came into its own again this morning. We were due to go to friends for coffee but they called off due to no shade in their garden so we suggested they came here. Five of us managed the distancing and to stay in the shade.

Then a lazy day due to the heat. I’m well into reading Hatter’s Castle by A J Cronin, another classic recommended by Big Sis. I’m learning a whole new classic vocabulary and style of writing as well as how to read a strong Scottish accent from the ancient Borough of Levenford.

I think the dramatisation of Tess of the d’urbervilles is going to be a must to watch. Second of four this evening and we’re both enjoying it.
