Another sunset....

Mike had to go into town to buy some metal. Nothing he likes better than a trip to either the wood yard or the mechanical engineering place!

I stayed home and made ginger parkin. I just fancied some. Proper gritty with oatmeal, sticky, treacley parkin!  It smelt wonderful and as I was the only one around, I got to lick the bowl, the pan and the spoon!

I took Lottie for a walk and went to see H in the afternoon. We brought the ponies in, gave them a little feed and checked them over, then let them back out again. We were going to ride, but H wasn't up to it so we sat and chatted instead. All she really wants to do at the moment is read and sleep. She's reading Jane Austin, Northanger Abbey just now. In German! One of her favourites. 

I had a photo for today, but the sunset was such a good one I changed my mind. I had to clamber up on the wall to take it, but it was worth it!
