out and about

No Blip for yesterday as got home  too 
late with nothing suitable . The visit to Chesterfield was a happy occasion . 
Florence has been working on sitting up which she can do for minutes at a time plus she has learnt  to feed herself with a spoon . She is a delightfully happy little girl , she smiled and gurgled at us across the 2m distance . We sat in the sunshine  and hung out together, lovely. 
Arrived home latish and got ready for the following days adventure in The Peak District . My youngest brother had sorted out a 10 mile walk for us in the area around Padly Gorge and Calver . 
The photo is of part of a  millstone edge. We walked here a lot when we lived in Sheffield so it was a familiar setting but a new route . We sat by a stream at the end , soaking up those golden rays which signal a summer evening, and enjoyed each other’s 
Company. Bramble disgraced herself a she stole a sandwich from the butty box of a couple who were paddling with their children in a nearby stream . They  had left the food unattended and she seized the chance . They were very nice about it , I was very apologetic and she spent the rest of the walk on the lead . 
It feels like we have had a holiday !
