Dry Landscape

I left work and drove through the hills to my monthly Camera Club meeting. Beautiful steep straw-coloured hills? and gum trees catching the sunlight. Very twisty road.
We had our AGM, then chose our competition topics for the year . Enjoyed a chat and supper. Then back home in the dark. Suddenly flashing lights came into view and I slowed down. "What's happened ?" I asked the officer on traffic control. "Just a car accident......hit a tree.." JUST??? The dark car was so crumpled...The ambulance must have come and gone. I drove the rest of the way wondering whose life had changed for the worse.
