Down but not out

This young gull reminds me of my rescue gull, Jonathan.  But whereas Jonathan had no parents to look out for him, there were two squawking adults hovering over this little one.  They'll feed him on the ground if he can't fly, and his feathers don't look sufficiently developed for that.
