Dill Worm?

What a pleasant surprise today. We grow dill in our broccoli bed to help with green worms, a pest common to broccoli plants. Today while watering I discovered two large colorful striped worms eating the dill. I was alarmed at first thinking it would be harmful to the broccoli (like the horned worm is to tomato plants). After quick research on Google we’re now thrilled to have these two Black Swallowtail Caterpillars eating our dill! Soon, each will form a chrysalis and transform in to beautiful butterflies! We will be adding dill to our milkweed bed, which we planted to support Monarch Butterflies • Today is Happy Hour Thursday with friends. Cheers to you all!
