Stepping out in a wild bracing Wintry wind.
If I hadn't bought new hiking boots at the weekend, I might have been much less enthusiastic about going on the Stepping Out walk this morning.
In fact when I was out shopping earlier, I blipped the flowers outside the C0-op, in case it was pouring down at the start of the walk.
But I was all fired up, so wrapped up in four warm layers, t shirt, hoodie, fleece and waterproof Regatta cagoul, and holding my Nordic walking pole off I went. It was so cold I wore my hood over my woolly hat at one stage.
We were a crew of only ten this morning, the wind was howling and quite a force to be reckoned with. I walked with Gordon, top right, who I know through Prospects and Churches Together and One Planet shop.
I only took a few blips of the walkers in front of me and a tree I liked.
I hope the elements settle down when I go to poetry group in the afternoon.
We have the theme of Gifts to consider and the Haiku style of poetry.
Arthur is very contentedly sprawled out full stretch on Maria's cosy armchair.
Cat's have got it sussed!
Keep warm and have a great start to the new week.
