These Boots Are Made For Tamping

The photo shows Hubby's prototype device for tamping down the top soil and the newly sewn lawn seed in the absence of a roller. It is such a small area that Hubby thought doing it by hand, or rather foot, would suffice. An old pair of gumboots screwed onto some board and, voila!  I have said prototype as they proved a bit unwieldy during first trial. He needed to lop a bit off the boards then it was all systems go. The extra shows them in action.
