Old Well From Lands of Fountainhall

A visit to Duthie Park this afternoon . Park was very busy with lots of people enjoying the sunshine. Brodie enjoyed paddling in the boating pond . Avoiding the crowds we found this old well that was erected in connection with the first city water supply in 1706. Re-erected 1903 . Looks as it may have been restored more recently and the padlock certainly looks new.
