Pea Harvest
Today Mrs BR took Miss T to town so that she could buy some plants for her room. They came back with a selection and one large one which will hide the computer cable (which she really finds annoying)
Mrs BR found a bargain pine shelf which she will paint to match the kitchen. The shelf is ideal to fit a collection of Emma Bridgewater mugs which seem to mysteriously grow in numbers with the seasons. We do like the mugs to drink from and this will be a better place to store them.
This afternoon the children came after school and as it’s so hot today we stopped at the ice cream van on the way home.
Once home the children helped to gather the peas off the plants ready to eat for supper. There are plenty so they will take some home too. They have enjoyed the vegetable growing at our house this year and always help with watering.
Sadly they can’t grow things at their house as the free range hens steal the seeds or eat the young plants.
