Objet trouvé - la mort

It's very clear that my predecessors in this house were practical people I'd have got on with. The kitchen is home-made with the same sort of measuring errors as I would make, the garden was obviously loved and nurtured and I keep finding bits of quirky fun - lights set in the climbing rose and the apple tree, a carved wooden owl in the clematis outside the back door...
Then there are the signs of becoming less able. When I touched this pot in the greenhouse the lid cracked and exposed the brush. A life interrupted.
