hotter still

the morning sky bright and cloudless, hazing in the early heat, the tub of ice cream probably needing replaced. it's not a day for being outdoors, the usual warnings of heatstroke and dehydration joined by a high uv level. 

there's a portable shelter stall set up, hiding from the sun, the midday heat rising up to 38.4, the hottest day so far, real feel hitting 48, the weather report showing clouds to the east and west, satellite and infra red just reinforcing the fact that it's hot and going to remain so...
