Companionship

A companion is a true friend who is always there when you need them most. A solid presence when you need to talk or sometimes just walk in silence. Some days seeing them from a distance is enough and others I long to hug them so much I want to cry.

Lockdown is hard as a single person but my walking companion has kept me sane in recent months and hopefully I’ve done the same for them. Friendships are tested in these difficult times but the best ones require no work at all.

Leeds Castle has been a great companion to me too. Walking alone some evenings in the parkland I never feel completely alone with the castle in the distance and the sound of the swans and ducks on the great water and birds in the trees. Even the sheep feel like my friends. Okay maybe I do need to get out more!

Today is my 2000th blip. Wow!
