The History of Dolls

I must have been given this doll in about 1960 I think.  I had no idea it was still in Mom and Dad's loft until I was clearing things out today.  I loved her a lot and called her Betty.

I find myself a little uncertain about all this. I wonder why I was given her.  I wonder who gave her to me.  And I wonder what to do with her.
