Gilcrux Village In The Distance.

The was taken from the Old Road in Crosby and is a view of Gilcrux Village. Top right is the top of Skiddaw, which for those who do not know is at the far side of the only Lake in the Lake District. That is Bassenthwaite Lake, all the others are, meres, tarns,  or waters, ie Windermere, Brotherswater, Grassmere, Blelham Tarn, to name but a few.
