Day 175/20. Who knew it is a Boarlet?
An afternoon visit again to a small local wildlife park. This is a few months old young wild boar.
But did you know young wild boar are called boarlets?
There are several confirmed breeding populations of wild boar in the UK. In England they are established on the Kent/East Sussex border, in Dorset, in Devon and in Gloucestershire (Forest of Dean). Animals from the latter site have crossed into Wales and become established in Monmouthshire. Allegedly they are vicious little things if trapped.
