Lunch anyone?

Yesterday morning there were four yellow Finches outside the front window, looking in the gravel for a bit to eat. Their colour was so cheerful I felt bad that they had to dig around for a bite to eat.

So today I took a few scraps of wood and made a little platform feeder for the little beauties, and other assorted flyers. We don’t really have squirrels or chipmunks around here, so I’m not too worried about them.

I installed it on the railing outside our front window so we could enjoy the show, if there is any to be seen.

Now they get a good lunch and we get a good view. Seems a fair exchange.
