The Chantry, Morpeth
Built in 1296 the Chantry was also used as a grammar school and the priest collected tolls for those crossing the bridge over the river Wansbeck. It has been used as a cholera hospital and a mineral water factory. It's now used for selling locally crafted goods & as a bagpipe museum.
(Thought I'd go a bit more 'highbrow' today.)
