A Dedication

I learned today that our fellow blipper, Admirer, passed away two days ago, unexpectedly.  Many of you know her; some may not.  She has long hosted Silly Saturday which probably tells you something about her outlook on life.  So, today's image is dedicated to her because I think she would have appreciated the humor.  She will be missed and my heart goes out to her family.

I did not do much photography today - it was very hot out and, to be honest, I just wasn't feeling any mojo.  So, while I dislike these little Japanese Beetles (an invasive species that always shows up every June), I thought that a bit of bug porn would do fine today.

Had a long chat with a longtime friend today - we hadn't talked in several years so it was nice to catch up.  

Today retail stores reopened in New Jersey, with capacity limits, masks required, etc.  I read on a FB group that people were lined up for hours in the hot sun to get into a women's clothing store.  Amazing.  There isn't a single item of clothing I want or need badly enough to do that.  Ever.  And especially right now.  But I know that people need to feel some sort of return to "normal" and I appreciate that shopping fills the bill for some.  My wardrobe pretty much consists of shorts and t's, athletic shoes and sandals this time of year and I've plenty of all.  

Some parts of this country, and the world are experiencing alarming surges of the Coronavirus right now, so please, please be careful.  Stay safe, be kind, be loving...
