A beautiful day weather wise but too hot to work in the garden. We took Ziggy to the vet’s this morning for his vaccination. An interesting experience. Pets and owners all standing round the edge of the car park which wasn’t easy as dogs were barking at cats in cages (usually the surgery has a dog room and a cat room when you’re waiting). Then 2 young men turned up, and one of them had a gorgeous grey stripey cat draped around his shoulders. Of course Ziggy joined in with the other dogs by singing. Then when it was his turn he had to go inside without us. This wasn’t good - being deaf he gets anxious if he can’t see one of us. After a few minutes the young vet came back out with him. There had been a scuffle, things had been knocked over, and of course he hadn’t been weighed. Fortunately, with us tickling his chin he didn’t even feel her injecting him outside on the lawn. Phew! Glad it’s only once a year.
